We all remember the killer mixtape that Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, carried around in the 2014 hit Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy. Music from David Bowie, to Redbone was suddenly popping up in everyones playlists, and brought the album up to No. 1 on Billboards top 200.
The release date for Awesome Mix Tape Vol. 2, was given away today by James Gunn on his Instagram account. He posted saying “Soundtrack out on on April 28!!” and yes, he typed “on” twice. Even famous people make mistakes.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 comes out May 5, and should answer a lot of questions that we all have about Star-Lords past, and will hopefully be showing us more connections to Marvel’s upcoming film Avengers: Infinity War.
