It looks like Count Olaf will be able to torture the poor Baudelaire children for a couple more years!

Months after the successful release of the first installment, two more seasons have already been renewed for A Series of Unfortunate Events. These seasons will include the same actors such as Neil Patrick Harris (Count Olaf), Malina Weissman (Violet), Louis Hynes (Klaus, and even Presley Smith (Sunny). Although it’s risky to keep Presley as a young toddler for several years, it’s going to be fun continuing their unfortunate journey with all of them.
With two seasons being renewed several months after the first season was released, Netflix must have a lot of faith in the show, and it is exciting!
Season 1 of ASOUE was a captivating portrayal of the books and included 8 episodes which covered the first 4 books of the novel. Season 2 will cover the next 5 books over 10 episodes, meaning that season 3 will most likely cover the last 4 books over 8 episodes, concluding the series.

The first season of ASOUE was true to the books and was enthralling from start to finish! It will be exciting to see how they depict the rest of the story, especially since Netflix is so sure that it’s going to be amazing if 2 seasons are already approved.

However, with ASOUE everything is melancholy. Season 3 being in the works makes us realize that the show probably won’t run for more than a couple more years, especially since they are working with children.
