Boss Baby was the boss in the box office this weekend, leading the charts with 26 million for its second week out, making a total of 89 million.
Coming at a close second is Beauty and the Beast, with Emma Watson, sliding in with 25 million. This weekend brought its total gross up to 432 million for its fourth week in the box office. This beloved movie still holds the hearts of Disney fans, you could say.
This weekend was a good weekend for family films because coming in at #3rd was Smurfs: The Lost Village with 14 million in its opening. How much further will it climb?
Ghost in the Shell, with Scarlett Johansson, slid down to #5 for its second week with 7 million in its shell, grossing a total 31 million for the movie. The kick-butt Power Rangers team placed #6 (dropping down from #4) with 6 million in their pocket for its third weekend, reaching a total of 75 million.
