Since 1996, audiences worldwide have been witnessing the life and times of Ethan Hunt play out across five different films, each with a new and thrilling adventure…and it doesn’t stop there! The first film of the franchise I saw was Mission Impossible III. From then on, I was hooked, and I found that in the installments to follow, each one was better than the last. That was surely true for the most recent film in the franchise, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, as it immediately brought about talks for yet another film to follow. Indication that production has begun was revealed recently on producer Christopher McQuarrie’s Instagram:

While this officially confirms MI: 6 is a go, there’s much to be curious about in this picture in that it was take on a rooftop. Speaking of which, we’ve seen Tom Cruise operate at astounding feats, quite literally, on skyscrapers and airplanes. How high will he venture this time? At the same time, though, the clapper reads “slate 1” and “take 1”, which could mean, if they are filming in order, this is the opening. What thrilling inciting event will hook us in this time to set Ethan’s journey in motion? All these questions will be answered when the film is released in 2018!
