The Teaser Trailer:

First and foremost, this trailer enlightens us on the downfall of our beloved hero. Thor crosses paths with Hela, but regrets it after seeing his precious hammer Mjölnir destroyed before his very eyes. He also comes to be taken by a band of miscreants, with Valkyrie seen delivering him to the Grandmaster. By the end of the trailer, Thor is thrown into the gladiator ring with the Hulk. Who was seen watching this brawl take place? None other than the god of mischief himself, Loki. With the trailer not giving away how the fight will play out for our heroes, we can only assume that there will be a brutal beating for both involved.

The entrance of the movie’s villain is also no joke, as Hela turns Thor’s world complete upside down and claims Asgard all while never losing her fearsome look. With this also being our first look at Cate Blanchett’s portrayal of the character, our minds could only be blown so much.

What’s My Opinion?

TVH

This teaser knocked my socks off. As soon as I heard Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” play in the background, I was hooked. The entrances of key characters like the Hulk (who looks incredible by the way) kept my attention. From past movies, and this teaser, I can only say that the acting in this movie is going to be phenomenal. Cate Blanchett gave me chills, and the taunting looks of Loki only made me miss Tom Hiddleston’s acting more than I already did. This trailer also seems to expand into the rest of MCU. Most installments (Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange being exceptions) have taken place primarily on earth or on Asgard, and the fact that this movie seems to be going out in the universe excites me. Since day one, I have been thrilled for this movie. With this long anticipated look into the movie, that excitement has only multiplied.

See the trailer for yourself!:

(Thor: Ragnarock is expected to release on November 3, 2017. With Taika Waititi as the director and Eric Pearson ahead of screenplay)
