For two weeks, The Framework has ruined my life as a fan and it continues to do so. As a non-biased journalist, the writers and producers over at Marvel and ABC should be applauded for its risky choice to change, literally, the entire world during its final episodes of its latest season, as a fan of these characters since day number one, my heart is broken.

The Frame work erases each of the involved parties biggest regret and they have to deal with the consequences to follow.

HYDRA is in charge and they have been a force to be reckoned with since day Daisy and Jemma first awoke within The Framework. With the looming threat of law and order and witnessing Mack be able to live in peace with his departed daughter Hope, this episode introduced a new element of danger and delusion that emotional fans did not need.

Why didn’t we need it? Because Fitz is evil in The Framework. Fitz has been a fan favorite since season one and his defining characteristic has always been his charm and innocence. That has all been stripped from him in this awful new world. He is vindictive, violent, callous, and obsessed with Madame Hydra (Aida).

Slowly but surely the team is coming together to get through this threat, but its hard to predict a future where Aida and The Framework doesn’t leave a LASTING impression on the gang.

Fit has committed a heinous act in front of Simmons. Ward is STILL good. Jeffrey Mace is the same total badass. And Coulson lives alone and makes his own soap. The Framework is weird.

Where is Ghost Rider when you need him?

Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ airs Tuesdays at 10/9c

In the Framework, the agents find an altered reality: Johnson is in a relationship with an alive Grant Ward; Coulson is teaching about Inhumans; Mack’s child is alive; Fitz is rich; Simmons is dead; and May works for Hydra, which has replaced S.H.I.E.L.D.
