This weekend was a big weekend for the franchise Fast and Furious. The 8th installment of Fast and Furious, The Fate of the Furious made its debut this weekend. Racing its way to the #1 spot on the charts and making a total of $100 million for its opening weekend.
Boss Baby crawled down from #1 to #2 this weekend in its third weekend in theatres. Even though it went down a notch it grossed a total of $15 million for this weekend, giving a total of $116 million.
Slipping from #2 last week, Beauty and the Beast, with Emma Watson, danced its way to #3 for this weekend. Making $13 million over the course of the weekend that brings its total up to $454 million.
Smurfs: The Lost Village also dropped down from #3 to #4 this weekend. It brought in $6.5 million for its second weekend in the theatres and grossing a total of $24 million so far.
