The sequel to the revolutionary R-rated superhero movie Deadpool (titled Deadpool 2), has been on a casting announcement role. Key characters Domino (Zazie Beetz) and Cable (Josh Brolin) are both confirmed to star in the sequel. With Brolin’s casting announcement in particular being met with mixed feelings, most question the logistics of his involvement in two separate Marvel movie universes.
News has now broken that fan favorite Blind Al (Leslie Uggams) will be returning for the sequel. Speaking to Blackfilm during an afterparty during promotion for HBO’s The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, Uggams confirmed her involvement in Deadpool 2, concisely answering, “definitely,” when asked whether or not she’d be returning.
Other cast members from the first movie that are confirmed to be reprising their roles in the sequel are Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead) and Morena Baccarin (Vanessa).
Deadpool 2 is slated for a 2018 release date.
