The first trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle was recently released showing off an impressive cast and what look to be enthralling action sequences. The trailer opens up with footage from the first film, Kingsman: The Secret Service, with Harry Hart (Colin Firth) and Gary ‘Eggsy Uwin (Taron Egerton) narrating over the footage about the importance of being a Kingsman and that, “it is more than the clothing we wear or the weapons we bear. It’s about being willing to sacrifice for the greater good. I hope you are ready for what comes next.”

The Kingsmen mansion and  shop are then both seen being blown up. Uwin and Merlin (Mark Strong) meet each other in the rain at the explosion site of the shop.

The rest of the trailer is a montage of action sequences and giving us a glimpse at the phenomenal cast they have assembled for the film.

Poppy (Julianne Moore) who is the villain of the film.

Agent Champagne (Jeff Bridges)

All of these roles are a little unknown right now, but having all these terrific actors in this sequel is definitely a good sign for this film and other potential installments to come. The song My Way by Frank Sinatra plays throughout most of the trailer, perfectly capturing the tone of this franchise. The trailer ends with Uwin and Merlin finding out that Hart is still alive. A shot of Hart shaving with an eyepatch on is shown before the final shot of the trailer being Uwin and Merlin looking stunned into the camera.

Overall, this was a great first trailer for the film. The trailer certainly didn’t give too much away, and showed off interesting shots of action and characters, both old and new. The first film was a little bit of an unexpected surprise and the second installment is easily one of my most anticipated films of this year.
