On April 28th, fans of the Star Wars franchise received a look at Kylo Ren and Rey’s new looks in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
A promotional picture for the game Star Wars Battlefront 2 was released on reddit by user Stalemate9. This picture features an advertisement which states, “Pre-order for Star Wars: The Last Jedi Exclusive Themed Looks And Ability Upgrades,” followed by a picture of both Rey and Kylo Ren.
At the bottom left hand corner of each picture, the text states, “MOVIE PRODUCTION STILLS NOT ACTUAL IN GAME IMAGES.” The picture can be seen below:
Kylo Ren seems to be wearing a cape that is similar in appearance to that of Darth Vader, however, one note on his costume is the absence of his mask. During the teaser for The Last Jedi, a shot shows what could be Kylo Ren’s mask smashed into pieces. Given this promotional image shows him without the mask, along with the shot of it being smashed in the teaser, this could indicate Kylo losing it during the movie.
Rey’s look is similar to the one she sported in the first film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. However, there is a torso-piece with a darker shade of brown reminiscent of the robes the Jedi wore in the prequel trilogy.
There is still a waiting period before fans will be able to see the two characters in their newest adventures. Therefore, there is ample time for trailers, teasers, images, and more to be released. Star Wars Battlefront 2 releases on November 17, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi arrives in theaters December 15 later this year.
