Promo for The Defenders Teases The Rise of The Black Sky.

With the highly anticipated Defenders, where the MCU’s street-level heroes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fish unite to combat the notorious crime-ninja organization The Hand, set to release 3 months from now, plot details are still very much under wraps.

With only a singular (minuscule) teaser trailer having been released, nothing much is known about what exactly the heroes are up against. Using deductive reasoning and events from series past, one may gauge to an extent what’s to come, possibly something involving the huge hole in the ground last seen in Daredevil season 2. But for all intents and purposes, nothing’s official.

Breaking the silence, the official defenders twitter account tweeted the following teaser:

With Elektra Natchios facing an untimley demise in season 2 of Daredevil, her return and involvement as the ominous Black Sky seems to be confirmed in the above teaser.

The actress that plays Elektra, Elodie Yung, has since far back been confirmed to reprise her role in the team-up show, with a whole host of other actors set to reprise their roles as well, including Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, Scott Glenn as Stick, and Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker.

All episodes of Defenders drop on the 17th of August later this year.
