HBO is planning on even more tales to come from the land of Westeros after A Song of Ice and Fire.

Variety has reported that HBO has signed four writers to develop spinoff ideas to their hit show Game Of Thrones.

Max Borenstein (Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla), Jane Goldman (Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Brian Helgeland (Legend), and Carly Wray (Mad Men, The Leftovers) are the four writers that have been signed. Goldman and Wray are each working directly with Game Of Thrones author George R. R. Martin.

The shows’ current executive producers and Showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, and Martin are all attached to the potential projects. HBO has no time line or ideas announced for the projects to come. An HBO spokesperson said the writers will be given the time needed to flush their scripts out.

“We’ll take as much or as little time as the writers need and, as with all our development, we will evaluate what we have when the scripts are in.”

HBO programming president Casey Bloys stated last year that a prequel series was still a possibility. The story of Robert’s Rebellion against the Mad King, the story of the Valyrian people are just a couple of tales that could be brought to life by HBO from The World of Ice and Fire.

The seventh season of Game Of Thrones will air on July 16 on HBO.
