Dave Bautista will see his dream become a reality in Avengers: Infinity War when Drax finally gets to interact with Iron Man!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled with actors of varying degrees of experience. Hollywood legends have signed on for smaller roles, up and coming stars have landed leading ones, and former WWE star Bautista found his breakthrough role in Guardians of the Galaxy. Drax’s combination of humor and action made him a fan-favorite, and with goals of taking down Thanos, his role’s only going to grow as the MCU progresses.

He’ll get this chance in Infinity War when the Guardians meet up with the Avengers.
For Bautista, one of the biggest hopes he had for the film was getting a chance to work with Robert Downey Jr (RDJ) and see Drax and Iron Man interact. He’s repeatedly praised RDJ for his work in the role, and now has finally revealed that they got to work together on Infinity War.

Bautista was a guest on the latest episode of the Talk Is Jericho podcast and was asked point-blank if Drax and Iron Man share scenes together in the next Avengers film. He was hesitant to confirm that this is the case, but did so after a letting out a big laugh!

Chris Jericho: How do you feel like, when you walk into the room or whatever it is, table read or something, and Robert Downey Jr. is there, did you do some scenes with Iron Man?

Dave Bautista: [hesitant] Um…..

Chris: Yes.

Dave: HAHAHAHA! Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Avengers: Infinity War is going to be big movie for both regardless. Rumors are swirling that it may mark the end of RDJ in the MCU, while for Bautista it marks a major step for the character before his potential final appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theater next year in May 4.
