With Terminator: Genisys performing so low at the box office, the future of the franchise has been in some trouble. Paramount even removed the film’s currently untitled follow-up from their schedule back in March. So that means no 2018 release for the film. Emilia Clarke, who appeared in Genesis, even said in an interview with ComingSoon.Net that she did not see a return for her role as Sarah Connor in the future. Despite that, the main face of the series Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed that a new film produced by series creator James Cameron, is coming, and he’s going to be in it.
Schwarzenegger revealed to Screen Daily that he had met with Cameron to discuss the film’s status. Schwarzenegger had said that, “it is moving forward. He [Cameron] has some good ideas of how to continue with the franchise. I will be in the movie.” So there might be hope for fans yet!
