Twitter has saved fans once again, this time with Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling confirming that she has finished writing the script for the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them via the social media outlet.
Rowling was answering a fan’s question regarding whether or not she’d already written the sequel (the link to the tweet can be found below the article). With her reply only being, “yes, I have, but I can’t tell you anything yet,” fans are still in the wonder of what’s to come for the film.
The sequel, which remains unnamed, will hopefully be released in 2018. Fantastic Beasts 2 is supposed to begin filming in July of this year. The first film came out in November 2016. The film series was supposed to be a trilogy, but has now been expanded to five films. David Yates, who directed Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and the final four Harry Potter films, will also be back to direct the sequel.
