Several reports recently surfaced that Patty Jenkins was already signed to direct the Wonder Woman sequel. The Hollywood Reporter has now reported that isn’t the case, but the director and Warner Bros. will soon begin negotiations. Jenkins will most likely ink a huge deal to direct the sequel to her critical and financial hit. The film had a $103.3 million domestic opening, which is a record for a female directed movie and is the first DCEU film to widely be praised by critics. Sources have said her deal could also include her having more say with the script and possibly a role in other DC projects. Some people have suggested for a Justice League sequel directed by Jenkins if Wonder Woman was a success.
