Great news for the DCEU!
Legendary composer Danny Elfman has been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter to work on the score for the upcoming Justice League film. The hiring follows with the additional shooting planned by director Zack Snyder, along with Joss Whedon, who is now substituting Snyder due to his recent loss.
While the score for both Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Man of Steel had been composed by Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL, both artist are working on different projects outside of the DCEU. Zimmer is working on his “Live on Tour” shows, while Junkie XL is rumored to be working on scoring the upcoming Tomb Raider film.
Danny Elfman is no outsider on the superhero genre. He is known for his classic works such as both Batman and Batman Returns, Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, and the recent Avengers: Age of Ultron.
He is one of the biggest composers in the industry. Most of the works from Elfman have been with Tim Burton on films such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, both Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through The Looking Glass, Planet of The Apes, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, and many more. He is also know for scoring Mission: Impossible, Good Will Hunting, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, and both Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker.
Justice League will hit theaters November 16, 2017.
