Haven’t you heard? Jason Statham was going to be a cold blooded killer!
News has been revealed that actor Jason Statham was to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Bullseye.
Producer Amy Pascal and head of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige were in a recent interview with Den of Geek! as part of the press tour for Spider-Man: Homecoming. One of the things they chatted about was Jason Statham himself and how both are huge fans of him in the Transporter and Fast & Furious series. Then Kevin had this to say:
We talked with him about doing a role in one of our movies. We’re fans too. It didn’t end up working out, his schedule didn’t work out. But I was in another meeting a few days later, and my cell phone rang. I didn’t recognize the number, but I answered it. And it was Jason Statham […] And he was saying ‘sorry it didn’t work out, maybe next time’. He couldn’t have been nicer! You get calls from movie stars all the time on your cellphone. I don’t! This was so exciting.
Before the sad announcement, there were rumors that the Fate of The Furious actor was going to play the villanous character for the second season of Netflix’s Daredevil, but never would people imagine that he was to be part of an MCU film. As to which movie Mr. Statham was to star, fans will have to keep guessing. Kevin Feige was asked the name of the film and said this with a huge grin on his face:
No
Worth a shot!
