Spider-Man: Homecoming is already a big success with fans and in the box office. According to Box Office Mojo, Spider-Man: Homecoming is the no. 1 movie in the box office, and earned an estimated $117 million in the box office domestically as well as $140 million in the foreign box office.
Let’s compare the domestic opening weekend Box Office numbers for each of the Spider-Man films:
- Spider-Man grossed $144 million dollars
- Spider-Man 2 grossed $88 million dollars
- Spider-Man 3 grossed $151 million dollars
- The Amazing Spider-Man grossed $62 million dollars
- The Amazing Spider-Man 2 grossed $91.6 million dollars
So Spider-Man: Homecoming had a very successful domestic and foreign box office. It made more money on the opening weekend than every movie this year except for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and Beauty and the Beast. Spider-Man: Homecoming also has more total domestic money earned than all but 14 movies this year and it has only been out for a weekend. There is a great chance that Spider-Man: Homecoming will be Top 5 in total domestic money grossed by the end of its run.
