Ahead of the San Diego Comic Con, Netflix decided to announce some things to Stranger Things fans. The exciting news included a new poster, a teaser, and the new premiere date. Season 2 is set to be on Netflix on October 27, 2017 (just in time for Halloween). It is quite fitting for the second season since it will take place around Halloween 1984.
The synopsis for the second season reads as: “It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.”
In the new posters we can see series protagonists Lucas, Dustin, Mike, and Will staring into some freaky looking clouds. New cast members this season include Paul Reiser, Sean Astin, Will Chase and Brett Gelman.
