While news has been quiet regarding the electrifying hero, DC’s Shazam is slated to begin production in February 2018.
The news was first tweeted by Umberto Gonzalez, editor-in-chief at Heroic Hollywood. He said:

I'm hearing SHAZAM⚡️ goes into production February. Maybe one of today's new DCEU dates could be that film. RT!

The film is to be directed by David F. Sandberg, who has previously directed Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation. The news has been reported just days before San Diego Comic Con, which could mean a potential announcement from DC’s panel.
