Wonder Woman has grown to be a fan acclaimed film which is constantly praised left and right. Wonder Woman has also succeeded in receiving a 93% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. With the success of a great film, many are now wondering what is to come in the sequel for the film. It seems that a very important person may be featured in the next film.
Former Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter seems to be in talks to be featured in the Wonder Woman sequel however, nothing is entirely confirmed despite the statement from Lynda Carter sounding more confident than her previous talks about being in the first film. Despite receiving a special thanks in the credits of the film, Carter has still continued to express interest in appearing in a Wonder Woman film. In an interview with people magazine Carter explains why she did not appear in the first film:
“We were trying to get me in the first one and we couldn’t make it work with our timing.”
When asked whether or not she would appear in the next film she states,
“It really is up to Patty (Jenkins), and if it works in an organic way it’ll be great fun and it’ll be wonderful to do.”
While these statements did not confirm anything, there was not an outright denial of her appearance. Lynda Carter continues to express such passion for the character. It appears many fans are just waiting to see the one and only Lynda Carter appear in the next film. Now that there is a higher likelihood of Lynda Carter appearing in the next film, it would be interesting to see her possibly cast as another Amazonian, or even a greater role to interact with Wonder Woman. However Lynda Carter may appear in the Wonder Woman sequel, it would definitely be a service to the many fans of Wonder Woman.
