Marvel has released a new amazing trailer for Thor: Ragnarok at their Hall H panel at SDCC 2017, and now we are going to analyze the trailer for you!

If you didn’t’t watch it yet, check it out below!

thor_ragnarok_trailer_1.pngThe trailer opens with Grandmaster’s world, where Thor & Hulk fight in gladiator combat. It draws inspiration heavily from Planet Hulk, where Hulk gets shot off into space by the Illuminati for being too dangerous and ends up taking over a planet through gladiator fights. If you’ll recall, at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Hulk takes himself out of the game for the same reason.thor_ragnarok_trailer_3Thor himself shows up in the beginning talking presumably to Hulk, who confronts him….thor_ragnarok_trailer_7…in the full Planet Hulk gladiator gear!thor_ragnarok_trailer_11.pngHela (Cate Blanchett), the goddess of death and ruler of Hel, invaded Asgard and messes things up, including Mjolnir. Behind her is Skurge the Executioner (Karl Urban).thor_ragnarok_trailer_17.pngHela faces down an army of Valkyries. Hel is the Asgardian realm where the common dead are sent after they pass. The Valkyries’ job is to guide the honored dead who fall in battle to Valhalla, where Hela has no power. They fight a bunch.Untitled.png
Thor explains to Bruce that he’s putting together a team to fight back against Hela, who is trying to bring about Ragnarok, the end of Asgard.

That team also includes Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) known by her real name, Brunnhilde, the leader of all Valkyries and…20264533_118065755494573_2629613135968595346_n.jpg
The God of Mischief, Loki, last seen at the end of Thor: The Dark World posing as Odin and ruling Asgard.Untitled.pngLoki and Thor are next shown opening fire with a set of laser-launching machine guns on a team of unsuspecting Sakaarian guards.Untitled.pngHulk is shown going hand-to-hand with Fenris, he’s known in Marvel Comics, as a wolf who is prophesied to kill Odin during Ragnarok. Here it seems Fenris, gets unchained by Hela to help spur Ragnarok.thor_ragnarok_trailer_29.pngHere is Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum), a cosmic entity and brother of The Collector from Guardians of the Galaxy. He runs games on his planet, rumored to be Sakaar from Planet Hulk. With him is Valkyrie and Topaz (Rachel House).thor_ragnarok_trailer_30.pngSkurge and his two favorite M-16 are seen in a shot.thor_ragnarok_trailer_43.pngAnd that’s Korg, a member of Hulk’s warbound.Untitled.pngHeimdall (Idris Elba) is shown fighting alongside them.Untitled.pngHela is shown, saying to a wounded Thor – “I am not a queen or a monster. I am the Goddess of Death” 66.pngHela taunts, presumably mid-Fight with Thor, “what were you the god of again?”Untitled.pngThe answer comes in a truly epic shot of Thor, super charged by lighting (complete with glowing solid white eyes) crashes into Asgard from the stormy sky. Interestingly enough, this shot does not show Thor holding Mjolnir at the time.  This might prove that Thor is able to use his powers without the hammer.3.png

66.pngAfter that we see Thor and Hulk talking with each other. Yes! Hulk can finally speak in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.thor_ragnarok_trailer_41.pngThe final shot of the trailer is a jump cut to a surprise reveal, Hulk full-on leaping into the jaws of a giant, flaming demon named Surtur! A classic Thor villain from the Silver Age.

Thor: Ragnarok will hit the theaters on November 3, 2017.

Imprisoned, the mighty Thor finds himself in a lethal gladiatorial contest against the Hulk, his former ally. Thor must fight for survival and race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela from destroying his home and the Asgardian civilization.
