Following an unfortunate family tragedy, Zack Snyder stepped down from the director’s chair of the upcoming Justice League movie. Upon his departure, Snyder appointed Avengers director Joss Whedon to take over the post-production process. Whedon, who is preparing to helm the Batgirl movie, had already been involved with Snyder and the Justice League creative team prior to his departure.
Now, with the release of the newest Justice League trailer, it may seem that Joss Whedon may be getting bumped up to co-director. Alongside the trailer, the U.K. Warner Brothers YouTube page included a description:
“Justice League – Official Trailer. A film by Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon starring Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher. In cinemas November 2017, watch the new trailer here.”
The section that is bolded caught the eye of quite a few fans. This could be confirmation that Joss Whedon has been promoted to co-director of the highly anticipated blockbuster, however, no official word has been given confirming these suspicions. There is still plenty of time left between now and the release of Justice League for Warner Brothers and DC to announce some type of news.
