The final installment of the new Star Wars trilogy seems to be facing some changes to the script. Colin Trevorrow is set to direct Star Wars Episode IX and has written the script with the help of his writing partner Derek Connolly.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script needed some touching up and British scribe Jack Thorne was brought in to add a new set of eyes. The extent of the rewrites is not known. Thorne helped create a number of British television shows and most recently wrote Wonder, a drama based off a 2012 novel by R.J. Palacio set be released later this year.

Star Wars Episode IX is slated to hit theaters May 24, 2019, but Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be in theaters December 15.

The further adventures of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Rey (Daisy Ridley).
