Collider.com was able to talk to director of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, James Gunn, about a few details relating to the Ravagers and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. When asked about the Ravagers, Gunn replied, “There’s always discussion. There’s always discussion on the Ravagers, but it would be The Ravagers.” And then stated, “there’s always a possibility. I would be excited about it.”

Michael Rosenbaum, who plays Martinex, stated to ScreenGeek that:

You know, James Gunn called me up and said, ‘Hey. I want you to play this character. I really think you should. It’s a smaller character but he was one of the original ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. and I’m like ‘yeah,’ and he said, ‘You’re going to be working with Sylvester Stallone.’ So I go, ‘I’m in. Stop there, I’m in.’ and he’s like, ‘I think there could be a future for this character’.

Rosenbaum also took to Twitter and Tweeted

James Gunn has also claimed that Vol. 3 will more than likely be the end of one team (Star-Lord and others) and a new beginning for another. The original team included Stakar Ogord (Sylvester Stallone), Martinex (Michael Rosenbaum), Mainframe (Miley Cyrus), Aleta Ogord (Michelle Yeoh), and Charlie-27 (Ving Rhames). Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will likely hit theaters sometime in the 2020’s and will also be one of the first movies of the Marvel’s Phase IV.
