Disney has announced they will be removing all of their movies from Netflix, and will be launching its own streaming service in 2019.

In an interview with CNBCDisney CEO Bob Iger told Julia Boorstin, “Disney had a ‘good relationship’ with Netflix, but decided to move its content off the platform.” The movies being removed are exclusively Disney and Pixar titles. The films will be moved to the streaming service in 2019, and Disney will also be making investments in exclusive movies and TV series for the service.

At this time it is not clear whether or not this move would include the removal of all Marvel properties as well, since Disney does own Marvel Entertainment. Since this was announced Netflix stock has dropped more than five percent.
