Despite Ben Affleck confirming that he is here to stay as Batman, comments are still being made about whether or not he actually is here to stay as the world’s greatest detective. In an interview with WEEI’s sports radio show, Ben Affleck’s brother Casey Affleck made some comments about his brother’s performance as Batman and whether or not he is still going to star in the upcoming film, The Batman.
Casey Affleck goes on to say, “He was great. He’s a hero, so he had something to channel and work with there. But he’s not gonna do that movie, I don’t think.” At first this may seem to be a worrisome remark, but Casey corrects himself by stating, “Is that breaking news? I was just kind of making that up.”
While Casey’s comment may at first appear worrisome, it was only a throwaway line that definitely should not be taken seriously, despite the joke coming from his own brother.
