Two days after the tragic passing of stuntwoman Joi Harris on the set of Deadpool 2, production of the movie resumes. This unfortunate tragedy happened on August 15th, and production was immediately stalled while police investigated. A notice from 20th Century Fox reads,
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, [Deadpool 2] was unable to complete its filming planned for August 14th and 15th.”
Harris, the first African-American female road racer, joined the cast in Vancouver only last Wednesday. The Merc With A Mouth’s sequel movie was the her first gig as a stunt actor. The entire Geek Motivation team sends our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Joi Harris.
