Doctor Strange Appears In International Trailer For Thor: Ragnarok

Only three more months for Thor: Ragnarok to release in theaters and fans are eager to see the God of Thunder team up with the Incredible Hulk in order to save Asgard from the apocalypse. While Bruce Banner was long confirmed to be a main character in the next Marvel film when the movie was announced, there is one more character people might have forgotten that will appear in the movie: Doctor Strange!

Minor spoilers for Doctor Strange:

At the end of the film, we see Stephen Strange having a drink with Thor himself in the New York Sanctum. The Asgardian asks for his help in order find his brother Loki, with Strange accepting. For those who haven’t seen the after credit, watch it below:

As to why Doctor Strange hasn’t been shown enough in promos or ads for Thor: Ragnarok remains a mystery. Luckily, fans are treated with a new Japanese trailer for the movie, in which the Sorcerer Supreme appears!

In this trailer, we see Thor looking at Strange floating with the Cloak of Levitation. Strange says something along the lines of “Thor, I sense a great change in your future,” and, “Destiny has dire plans for you, my friend,” with Thor saying, “I have dire plans for destiny.” Watch the trailer below!

While his appearance is short, it does remind audiences to expect this character in the movie. As to what role will Strange play in the film, Tom Hidelston has teased it back in January at the Golden Gobles Awards (Video Below).

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk, his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.

Thor: Ragnarok will play in theaters November 3, 2017
