After the DCAU (DC Animated Universe) released its Justice League Dark, Warner Brothers had given some traction to its live-action version. Still yet to be officially announced, a new rumor that has surfaced on the internet claims the script will be going through more rewrites before the film officially goes into production. The project lost its latest director earlier this summer, Doug Liman. Justin Kroll from Variety broke the news that the script would continue to be worked on after a presentation to the Warner Brothers executives was “underwhelming.”

It was rumored that It director Andy Muschietti was in the running for the director’s chair along with Damian Szifron, but this new revelation may reveal a different director who is in contention.
Previously, Guillermo del Toro was attached to the project back in 2012. In 2015 del Toro left the then-titled Dark Universe film to helm Pacific Rim 2, which he was set to direct at the time. Now, the wait for Justice League Dark has most likely been extended, regardless of the lack of a release date or any casting.
