Directors of the Netflix hit Stranger Things, The Duffer Brothers, did a recent interview with Vulture about their origin in the Hollywood, the series and its second season, and the impact of the show. Sadly, they did clarify that the series will end sooner than expected.
“We’re thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out,” says Ross Duffer. By then, the original band of adorable preteens will be ready for college. “We just have to keep adjusting the story,” says Matt Duffer. “Though I don’t know if we can justify something bad happening to them once a year.”
Thankfully, these statements bring good news for fans as it confirms that there will be two more seasons after the second one hits on Netflix.
As to what they want to bring out of season two, they said this:
“We wanted to push things a bit,” says Ross. “I told Matt, ‘I don’t want to call it season two, I just want it to feel like a movie sequel.’ If you have a successful movie, No. 2 is always a little bit bigger.”
The second season will focus more on Will adjusting back to life after he escapes the Upside Down.
Stranger Things Season Two will release October 27 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below!
