Fans of the cult movie Pacific Rim are in for a treat as the world premiere of the trailer for the sequel debuts at New York Comic Con this October 6.
Legendary Pictures and Universal announced that a panel for the film will be held at the Madison Square Garden with director Steven S. DeKnight (Netflix’s Daredevil) and actors John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Burn Gorman and Cailee Spaeny attending. In the panel, the actors and director will discuss the mecha film and will introduce said trailer.
John Boyega also went to Twitter to reassure this news (see below).

Pacific Rim: Uprising is the long awaited sequel for Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim, which debuted in 2014. The film will come from a completely different creative team as Del Toro won’t direct it.
A teaser trailer for the movie had already been released last July, but no information has been released except the sypnosis. There’s also rumors that John Boyega will play Jake Pentecost, son of Idris Elba’s Stacker. Watch the teaser below!
It’s been ten years since The Battle of the Breach and the oceans are still, but restless. Vindicated by the victory at the Breach, the Jaeger program has evolved into the most powerful global defense force in human history. The PPDC now calls upon the best and brightest to rise up and become the next generation of heroes. When the Kaiju threat returns, we will be ready.
Pacific Rim: Uprising will hit theaters in 2018
