What are a few things every Star Wars fan thinks of?
The Jedi order? The Clone Wars? Lightsabers, Captain Rex, or The High Ground? Well, yes, those are a few things that come to my mind when someone mentions one of the most successful film series of all time. That being said, one thing that comes to my mind no matter what, is the legendary ship flown by one of the greatest pilots in the entire galaxy.
The Millennium Falcon.
That’s right. The ship that flew The Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs.
We’ve seen this ship go through so much. The Battle of Yavin, the final attack on the death star, and the daring escape from Jakku, flown by Rey.
The ship was first featured in ‘A New Hope’ in 1977.
From there it held a prominent role in the last two films of the original trilogy, ‘The Empire Strikes back’, and ‘Return of The Jedi’. Almost thirty years later, we would see it make an epic return in 2013’s ‘The Force Awakens’, piloted by Rey, only to be returned to Han Solo in the second act of the film. The Millennium Falcon will return this December in ‘The Last Jedi’.
After that, the next film of The Star Wars Franchise, will be the untitled ‘Han Solo’ anthology film, Starring Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian.
Heroic Hollywood reported it first. The ‘Han Solo’ film may feature the Millenium Falcon as a brand new ship. The movie will show how Han (Alden Ehrenreich) meets Lando (Donald Glover), who owns the cargo freighter, at the time, and acquires the ship. They also reported that the ship will feature a white paint job, with blue accents, rather than the red accents we are used to after all these years.
While this is still a rumor, it would be really awesome to see the Falcon in all of its young glory.
Well, what would you like to see in the upcoming ‘Han Solo’ film? Leave a comment and let us know! For more information on this story, and everything Star Wars, follow me on twitter @imtylersiedell , and as always, @GEEKMOTIVATION .
