After Star Wars movies being released in December for the last 3 years, it comes as no surprise that the date for the final movie in the Force Awakens trilogy got moved from May 24th to December 20th, 2019. Disney did not give up their May date, however, as the live action remake of Aladdin will now take that spot. Since Aladdin just started filming, according to Will Smith (Genie), hopefully they will not suffer from the 4 months of filming and post-production that they lost.

Another Disney release date that Oh My Disney announced was for the Christopher Robin movie which will be on August 3, 2018. This seems soon also given that some of the cast has yet to be announced and a lot of CGI will most likely be involved since it is about the characters of The Hundred Acre Woods coming back into Robin’s life.

Other release dates announced include Nicole, the film about Santa Claus’s daughter (Anna Kendrick) taking control of the business, and the first movie adaption of the young adult series Artemis Fowl. These movies will be released on November 8th, 2019 and August 9th, 2019 respectively.

While some of these dates may seem to be a little too early such as Aladdin and Christopher Robin’s, I think that Disney knows what they are doing and hope that these dates will not lessen the quality of the movies.
