Thor: Ragnorok‘s director, Taika Waititi has been confirmed to be in talks with Warner Bros. for their planned Akira flick. The studio has been through multiple directors over the years as they tried to get Akira off the ground. The plans sat for a while in storage until earlier this year when the hunt for a director started once more.
There is no word on how far into talks the two parties are. No other details about the live-action rendition of Akira have been released, but be sure to check back with Geek Motivation on Twitter! We’ll keep you up-to-date on all the latest news regarding Akira and any other upcoming movie!
