Hi! I'm Zach, the Editor-in-Chief here at The Cinema Spot. The TCS team and I are always hard at work to put out the best content we can, and we're even developing a few new features! Be sure to keep an eye out for the latest contests, daily news articles, comprehensive reviews, and more!
Picking up directly where Teen Titans #12 left off, Nightwing #29 follows the titular character, Green Arrow, Robin, Harley Quinn, and Killer Croc inside Batman Who Laugh’s labyrinth. The group fights their way through Dr. Freeze’s layer of the maze, with the words “Winter is Here” printed on the cover of the issue.
The issue references many different past events, which the team mentions in footnotes throughout the issue. While the heroes and villains fight to stay alive inside the maze, outside the Teen Titans fight to keep Gotham safe and under order.
With giant frost monsters throughout the comic, this issue does a very good job of continuing the story of Gotham’s Resistance. With the Justice League out looking for Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman, it seems to be up to their younger counterparts to save Gotham City. Will they be able to do it? That question will hopefully be answered in Suicide Squad #26 next week!
If you haven’t already, be sure to check out this action-filled issue. And be sure to check back with Geek Motivation on Twitter for more reviews and discussions about the happenings of the DC Universe right now with the rise of Barbatos! And please keep the comments section spoiler free for those that have yet to read this issue. Thanks!
