The Principal Photography portion of Godzilla: King Of The Monsters has finished. The sequel to 2014’s Godzilla completed filming on Wednesday Sept. 27th and will embark on the extensive process of post-production for the film.
Director Micheal Dougherty has tweeted behind the scenes glimpses of the project throughout the summer and sent another one signaling the closing of filming.

The sequel will feature not only Godzilla but also fellow Toho monsters Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters stars Vera Farmiga, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Zhang Ziyi, and Charles Dance.
The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species – thought to be mere myths – rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
