ScreenRant is reporting that the production for Wonder Woman 2 will start in June 2018. Wonder Woman was the first critically acclaimed film from the current DC universe and became the highest grossing origin story, making $821 million worldwide. It’s no surprise following that success that Patty Jenkins is returning to the director’s chair, after negotiations with Warner Bros. According to some reports from the same website, the movie will be set in the 80’s in during the Cold War and viewer’s will find Diana facing the Soviet Union.

This movie will also give more insight into what happened the years between Wonder Woman and Batman v. Superman, where it was revealed that the Princess of Themyscira spent some time away from humanity.
