Will Ben Affleck return as the Caped Crusader?

Justice League is right around the corner, which means audiences will get to see Ben Affleck as Batman for the third time (yes, Suicide Squad counts) on the big screen. There’s been some rumors about Affleck not returning for the role of the Gotham vigilante, but later being debunked by the actor himself in San Diego Comic Con last summer. Now it looks like he’ll want to reprise the role for a fourth -and hopefully fifth- time, but looking for a way to leave the DC Extended Universe with style.

USA Today did an interview with the Argo director and said that being the Batman is “something I’m contemplating […]” He states that “You don’t do it forever, so I want to find a graceful and cool way to segue out of it.”

You gotta admit, Batfleck looks awesome in this gif!

At first, fans were excited that he was to direct, write, and star in the stand alone DCEU film The Batman. Sadly, he stepped down from the director seat earlier this year. Currently, the hype is still going as Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes) will direct the solo film. Now the question isn’t IF Batfleck will reappear as Batman; instead is WHEN will he pass the cowl to another actor.
