While many films in the DCEU are up in the air right now, it doesn’t stop people from wishing for more movies to be announced in the future. This means that it’s always exciting when someone that actually has a position working in the DCEU states a film they want to see made. And that’s exactly what happened with Charles Roven, a producer constant among the current DCEU movies.

When CBR talked to Roven about the future of the DCEU’s films, one question asked was, “What’s the most unusual property in the DC toy box that you would love to bring to film?” To which Roven responded:

“I wouldn’t necessarily say that I would rather do that character, because we know that there is going to be a Flash movie, we know that Aquaman is being done, I think that Cyborg deserves his own movie too, and I know that the fans are out there screaming for Green Lantern, that’s for sure. But I was always a fan of J’onn J’onzz, Manhunter from Mars.”

This is really exciting news to many fans of DC comics, as the Manhunter from Mars is a favorite character to many fans, including myself.

Does this mean that J’onn J’onzz could be getting a movie in the future? With Justice League‘s original marketing being under the tagline “Unite the Seven”, was Martian Manhunter already being considered for a film debut, or could they have meant Green Lantern? We’re unsure, but a film version of fan’s other favorite alien is certainly an exciting prospect!
