After quite a few words floating around saying Ant-Man and the Wasp was nearing the end of filming, it seems we have an official statement from director Peyton Reed himself saying filming has officially wrapped.

While this doesn’t necessarily mean the crew won’t have to go out and reshoot a few scenes, it does mean that the initial cut of the movie is filmed. Now it’s on to the editing, SFX and other similar post filming production work.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is set for release on August 2, 2018. It stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne/The Wasp. Aside from the titular characters, Michael Douglas is back as Hank Pym, Michael Peña is back as the beloved Luis, and Lawrence Fishburne is joining as Bill Foster, the character known as Goliath in the comics.
