Hope, something that Superman embodies. With the Justice League in theatres, Superman is back in the array of DCEU news. Henry Cavill still has one movie left on his contract, and that movie very well could be Man of Steel sequel. When Cavill was asked about darker tone of his past 3 Superman movies (Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, and Man of Steel), he acknowledges the gloomy attitude towards the character, but then offered an interesting point to the new direction of Superman:
“There’s a wonderful opportunity to tell the Superman story,” he said. “Now there is a fantastic chance to show Superman in his full colors and tell a very complex, character-driven movie that is based on story and have that wonderful sensation of hope and happiness. A feel-good movie with lessons laced in there as well.”
While there is no official word on a sequel to Man of Steel, there have been rumors circulating that Matthew Vaughn had talked about Superman with Warner Brothers. The best part of the Superman movies has always been Cavill, his performance is excellent (in my eyes). It has always been the writing or such that hinder the movie’s production. Personally, it would be awesome to see a new Superman Movie. Let us know what you think!
