In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night.

Green Lantern. Sure, he is often one of the most overlooked characters in the Justice League and not a lot of people’s favorite superhero; but he is my favorite superhero and my favorite justice league character. A Lot of you don’t know the writers on Geek Motivation, but allow me to introduce myself and give you a little about me so you can have context for why he is my favorite Superhero. My name is Akhil Modali, and i’m 19 years old and  I’m currently a freshman in college. I was raised by two loving parents and a brother who always had my back. I have a great group of friends and a ton of goals. So at this point, you are probably asking yourself “what the part that relates you to Green Lantern?”. Allow me to explain. I’ve always been the kid who has huge aspirations….and everyone always counts me out. I’ve always been told “you can’t do that” or “you’re too” (insert favorite insult) to the do whatever. I am always underdog wherever I go. I am also a little brother, so I have gotten people to underestimate me. I hate it. I use to sulk and hide behind a big ego and really think I wasn’t made to chase my dreams. Then Green lantern came into my life. Sounds crazy, I know, but it motivated me to work hard and put forth one hundred percent towards everything. If you are not familiar, Green lantern’s powers rings work based upon on how much will power they have. The more they want something, the stronger their powers gets. Being a underdog my entire life, I use Green lantern’s as my motivation to keep moving forward. Every single time I am faced with a new challenge or a obstacle in my life, I always look towards them for support. Although they are not a real construct (see what I did there) their motivation and strength makes me wanna put all my will power and believe that I can do anything If I want to do it.  What superhero motivates you?
