With the continued treasure piling up ($824.8 million) for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the Jumanji film series is going to be taking yet another plunge into the jungle with a third installment.
The so-called gamemakers of the most recent film, producers Matt Tolmach and Seven Bucks Productions, writers Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner in negotiations, and director Jake Kasdan are likely to return. Players Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan will respawn in the next installment as well.
It’s a wonder what the next film is going to be about. There has been no announcement as to whether or not the kids who played the game would return, but I can’t imagine the all-star cast acting as anyone else. Will the game move on to virtual reality and possibly bring the jungle out of the game like the first Jumanji?
Dates have not been set on the production or release of the film.
