“There was an idea, Stark knows this, called the Avengers Initiative. The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable people, see if they could become something more. See if they could work together when we needed them to fight the battles we never could.”

One of the most famous lines ever spoken in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I remember what it felt like. I was thirteen, and ready to see one of the coolest looking films I had ever seen. I walked into the theater and left captivated, mesmerized, and amazed all at once. This film was the film that was going to change the way a superhero film was made.

Marvel was doing something great. They were taking six heroes and bringing them together on the big screen, while still finding a way to make it work when it seemed like it couldn’t. This launched an entirely new way of filmmaking; The Cinematic Universe.

This film started a trend that no other company could quite catch on with. While they tried to, ultimately, they either aren’t good, or they downright failed. But marvel seemed to have it figured out, and they still do to this day.

This was what the Avengers did. It showed that you can have a line up of awesome characters, and still fit them all together.

The Avengers is a beautiful film. It features some great performances from Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Tom Hiddleston, and many more.

In case you had forgotten what The Avengers was about,

When Thor’s evil brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), gains access to the unlimited power of the energy cube called the Tesseract, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), director of S.H.I.E.L.D., initiates a superhero recruitment effort to defeat the unprecedented threat to Earth. Joining Fury’s “dream team” are Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).

AB6010_POSTVIS.jpgThis film without a doubt has its issues, but the beauty of the film outshines the ugly. This film to this day still holds a big spot in my heart, and will for a long time. This film paved the way for so many great films that we have seen, and are going to see this summer.

This film, to me, is an 8.5/10.
