After the success of Ryan Coogler’s film Black Panther in February, the Russo Brothers topped it off by bringing in the most anticipated movie of 2018: Avengers: Infinity War. This film made history and, in the process, broke the hearts and minds of movie-goers and comic book fans. After only a bit over one week after crashing into the big screen, it hit the $1 billion mark. Now, with a month and a half of being in theaters around the globe, the third Avengers film continues to break more records.

As of Monday, Avengers: Infinity War enters the list of highest-grossing films of all time by surpassing the $2 billion mark, taking fourth place behind James Cameron’s Avatar and Titanic as well as J.J. Abrams’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens. (These four are the only films to have earned over $2 billion in theaters.)
