Like many movies, Deadpool 2 went through a lot of changes during its production, particularly with Tim Miller’s departure from the project due to creative differences.
This left many to wonder what Tim Miller’s version of Deadpool 2 would have entailed. Well thanks to conceptual artist Alexander Lozano, it was revealed that the Fantastic Four were to make a cameo in Tim Miller’s Deadpool 2 as shown by the concept art he did for the movie, which he shared online via Instagram.
The concept art shows that the FF would be played by the cast of their latest movie, Fant4stic from 2015, which includes Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller and Jamie Bell as Invisible Woman, Human Torch, Mr. Fantastic and The Thing, respectively. However, their designs are much more accurate to the comics, especially in regards to the “4” emblems and even The Thing’s cigar.
Their role would undoubtedly be small and would probably involve Deadpool making fun of the poor reception or the troubled production of Fant4stic. As interesting as this idea may be, it wasn’t a huge loss. Deadpool 2 gave many opportunities for the merc with the mouth to poke fun at bad superhero movies and featured a cameo from another popular superhero team owned by 20th Century Fox: the X-Men. Still, it would have been nice to see a good version of Marvel’s first family on the big screen, even if for a brief moment.
