Bob Iger might be the most influential man in Hollywood right now. The Disney CEO has his hands in everything, from Star Wars to ESPN to yes, the MCU. With that being said, Iger recently just acquired Twenty First Century Fox’s intellectual properties, which means that the X-Men and all the mutant goodness are all under the roof that Mickey built. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter’s Matthew Belloni, Iger was asked about how Marvel was going to incorporate the X-Men with the already massive MCU.

His answer is great, stating,  It only makes sense for Marvel to be supervised by one entity. There shouldn’t be two Marvels.”.  The statement needs no further explanation as it is evident that the mutants will join the MCU in due time. What will be interesting to see how they do this. With the recent Scarlet Witch and Loki series announced exclusively for the Disney streaming service, that is one route they could take to introduce the Mutants into the MCU. If we want to be realistic, though, the X-Men and all its members deserve big screen appearances, so it is only a matter of time until we see it. For all things geek, you are in the right place!
