Fox makes significant changes to its movie slate
We all know that Fox’s movie slate is currently in fluctuation right now. Nonetheless, some massive changes were made on Friday, September 28th. To start, Fox decided to release a PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 this December. The reason behind this is so they can release the movie in markets that it couldn’t make due to its hard R rating. The next and honestly more daring move is Fox deciding to move the release of Dark Phoenix to June 2019. This movie comes on the heels of a surprisingly warm response to a trailer released early this week. While we don’t know what the movement of the release date means, there could be a couple of possible reasons. One could be that they wanted to possible do reshoots on the movie to change some aspects. The other reason could be of competing with Toy Story 4 and Men in Black spinoff, as Fox could be sticking out their neck trying to test the movie’s ability to compete with other big blockbuster films.
